the previous owner of the Paris Opera house. he sold it to the new managers, Firman and Andre. it apears as though he has grown terribly tired of all the nonsense to do with the Ghost. when the new managers ask why he is retiring, he promptly replies "For my health". when La Carlotta, the resident diva, throws a tantrum, he very calmly says "Good luck. i you need me, i shall be in Australia". he is not seen again, but his name is mentioned in the auction scene of the film version. he purchases a poster of a past production of the opera house
